Liz Joffe is a founding partner of McKanna Bishop Joffe, LLP in Portland, Oregon. She has been working with the labor movement since 1988, when, after graduating from the University of Michigan, she worked with the UAW’s legal department and unemployment clinic in Detroit, Michigan. She then attended Berkley Law at the University of California, Berkley, during which she worked for a Union-side firm in San Francisco and the Oregon Legal Services Farmworker Program and co-authored a Pocket Guide to Workplace Rights of Public Employees. After graduating in 1993, Liz served as a staff attorney for a disability rights organization and with Union firms in Portland and Chicago. She has been with MBJ since 2001, representing labor organizations and their members before the Oregon ERB, NLRB, state and federal courts, arbitrators, at the bargaining table, and on the picket line.
